- Open to all PEI 5 Pin Bowlers who are nineteen (19) years of age as of January 1, 2025
- The entry deadline shall be January 3, 2025. No post entries will be accepted
- The entry fee is $40.00
- Lineage fee is $30 per Round
- Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers' Association rules and regulations shall apply in all rounds.
- You must declare if you intend to bowl on the team, if you win singles.
- In case of any disputes, the decision of the PEI 5 Pin Bowlers' Association Tournament Committee shall be final.
- Dress Code: All bowlers participating in the PEI 5 Pin Bowlers' Provincial Open will be required to wear:
Female either black dress pants, dress shorts, skirt, skort, capris or yoga pants (no fluorescent colours, stirrups, or denim of any kind). No draw strings or elastic at the hem of any kind. No studs, buttons or pockets on the legs. Male bowlers will either wear black dress pants or dress shorts that do not have studs, buttons or pockets on the legs. All participants will be required to wear a collared shirt. While the tournament is in progress no hats or caps will be allowed unless for religious or medical reasons. This is to protect the integrity, atmosphere and attitude of the sport of 5 pin bowling.
Failure to adhere to the dress code will result in the bowler receiving a $25 fine, for the first offence, and being ineligible to participate in the tournament for a second offence.
- The Provincial Open shall consist of 16 games (8 at each centre)
- Top 5 Ladies & top 5 Men will advance to a stepladder round, to determine *Provincial Singles winners
- *Singles winner to declare if they will also be participating in team event
- The top six (5) men and top six (5) ladies, based on scratch, total pinfall at the Provincial
Open will make up the Provincial Men's & Ladies Teams to advance to the National Open Championships.
6th spot will be either the singles winner (if declared), or the 6th place finisher after the round robin.
- The next three (3) men and three (3) ladies, based on scratch, total pinfall at the Provincial
Open will make up the Mixed Team and advance to the National Open Championships.
- A lane draw will be created the morning of the Provincial Open.
